Kiriko X 203 Butik Small Notebook, Tsubaki
We are excited to introduce our new collaboration with 203 Butik Stationery! 203 Butik is based in Norwalk, Connecticut and is run by Shamese Shular who specializes in Japanese stab binding and stationery. For this collaboration, we provided Shamese with some of our favorite Japanese patterned fabrics. In return, she created these beautiful hand-made notebooks utilizing the art of Japanese stab binding. 203 Butik uses quality papers in their products, making these notebooks perfect to draw, paint or write in!

This notebook features a Tsubaki pattern. Tsubaki is one of our most popular patterns, representing the camellia flower. The pattern became popular in the Edo era and has different meanings depending on the color. Red flowers symbolize love, and white ones show longing. As camellia begin blooming in the winter, it is a hopeful sign for the coming spring.
