5-Panel Kiku Cap
Traditional patterns, modern style. These new 5-panel caps add some great style to any casual look. Each cap is made with unique fabrics from Japan, drawing from traditional patterns and textiles. A leather strap in the back makes these adjustable for a custom fit.
The Multi Japanese Pattern uses four different patterns set in random geometric shapes on an indigo-dyed fabric. The pattern's design is intricate and unique. Each cap differs slightly from the other, due to the pattern variation.
The Chrysanthemum, or Kiku in Japanese, is a symbol that represents longevity and rejuvenation. When first introduced to Japan during the Nara period, the Japanese Royal Family was fascinated with the Chrysanthemum. Eventually, during the passing of the years, the Chrysanthemum become the Imperial Family Emblem. Even now, it is used as the imperial symbol of Japan, even appearing on the Japanese passport.
