Introducing our Simplified Tsuno Bukuro Bags. Casual and stylish, each tote has a unique character brought by the combinations of traditional fabrics from Japan. This modern-style Tsuno bag is simple and perfect for everyday use, whether it's carrying your essentials or grocery shopping.
These simplified Tsuno bags can be folded up and used as a compact reusable bag or, using a leather strap (sold separately), can be easily made into a purse.
Tsuno Bukuro means "horn bag". The name comes from the shape, which looks like two horns. Traditionally, these bags are simply constructed from a single rectangle length of fabric, creating them without extra cuts or folds. Tsunobukuro were usually used by farmers to transport grain.
Each Tsuno bag is sewn in Portland and finished here in our studio.
