Made to be worn open over long kimono, haori feature colorful patterns and traditional methods of decorative craftsmanship. The garment has a simple design, with square, draping sleeves, but has interesting details like small decorative ties that act as accent pieces on the front. Pair our vintage haori with a simple tee and jeans (or maxi skirt) for a unique casual look. Worn with a collared button-up shirt and skirt or pants, the haori jacket acts as a loose-fitting blazer. Versatile, comfortable, and distinctive.
Dochugi jackets close with a crossover style like a kimono; unlike the haori which lies open at the front. Instead of securing with an obi sash, there are ties on the inside and outside of the dochugi. Generally a more casual look, it pairs well with everyday women’s clothes, bringing an eye-catching pattern and sleeve design to your look.
