This large cotton tote bag is part of an exciting collaboration with local Japanese American artist Erika Harada, of Kimagureya. Erika specializes in katazome, a traditional Japanese textile printing process, and her beautiful designs are often inspired by our rich pacific northwestern landscape as well as her Japanese heritage.

With an inside pocket and large enough to carry every day or for travel, this design illustrates a Japanese story about a carp swimming upstream to become a dragon, for a reminder of perseverance you can always carry with you.

This design was inspired by the Japanese legend about a carp that swam upstream and became a dragon, representing strength, perseverance, and success.
