This hoodie is part of an exciting collaboration with local Japanese American artist Erika Harada of Kimagureya. Erika specializes in katazome, a traditional Japanese textile printing process, and her beautiful designs are often inspired by our rich pacific northwestern landscape as well as her Japanese heritage. This design was inspired by the Japanese legend about a carp that swam upstream and became a dragon, representing strength, perseverance, and success.
This piece features a charming illustration by freelance artist Erika of Kimagureya, known for her playful designs and expertise in traditional dyeing methods like katazome. A proud piece to hold in your wardrobe, supporting local designers.
