These dried flakes of USDA organic kombu have been sustainably harvested from the pristine waters of the Gulf of Maine. Kombu has natural sugars that give it the mellow freshness for which it is known. Use this to make dashi, the base for miso soup, other soups stocks and marinades. It can also be used as a wrap for baking or steaming fish, infusing it with sweet flavor while retaining moisture. Kombu is a great source iodine.
