Culinary grade matcha is made from a more mature leaf than the finest ceremonial grade, but it is still delicious and perfect for adding to recipes, cocktails, and baking projects. it is a stone-ground green tea. The tea leaves are shaded before harvesting, which stimulates the plant to create more chlorophyll which intensifies the flavors and health properties of the leaves.

This tea may have a more bitter flavor profile than ceremonial grade matcha but should still contain sweet and vegetal notes.
