Kiriko Original Dopp Kit, Maekake, Dark Indigo with White Belt

A "maekake" is a Japanese apron traditionally worn by merchants, shopkeepers, and craftsmen. These aprons tie in the front and feature a large piece of thick canvas fabric (handwoven by specialized artisans) hanging from the waist. Shop logos are usually printed on them, and the practical design is meant to alleviate stress on the lower back. 

We've created a one-of-a-kind, limited edition Dopp kit featuring vintage fabric from traditional Maekake aprons. It can serve as a travel bag to carry your toiletries, stationery, or crafting tools. 

Made here in Portland. High-quality brass YKK zippers and findings for durability. A new, stiff lining holds its shape or collapses easily for packing. The new fastenable leather handle makes it easy to take on-the-go. An inner pocket keeps essentials easy-to-find and out of the way.
