Charm, Kami Series, Sarutahiko No Kami

Across Japan, these teabag-shaped charms or omamori can be found at Shinto shrines or temples. The charms have a prayer or blessing written inside them and are wrapped in fabric and meant to not be opened. They offer a particular type of luck, blessing, or protection and can be attached to backpacks or purses. This series of charms are dedicated to a particular Shinto deity or Kami and feature a unique art style. Sarutahiko Okami is the leader of the deities of the earthly realm and symbolizes misogi: strength, and guidance.
