JPN: Color Combinations of Female Court Attire - Kasane no Irome by Moriteru Nagasaki
Kasane no Irome originally described the combination of the colors of the outer material and the lining material sewn together to make kimono, but eventually in the Heian Period (eighth century) also came to be used for the colors visible at the neck sleeve, and hem of kimono garments worn in several layers.
