Our GABA is made using 100% hand-picked, high-mountain oolong from Alishan, Taiwan. The finishing process of anaerobic fermentation adds a unique depth and rich character. The resulting tea can be steeped more than once and is layered with flavors of baked yam, dark bread, and spiced apple.

Dan of Herald Tea started the company after a decade of working in specialty coffee shops and farming on the west coast. Dan’s wife Lauren, founder of Mizuba Tea, specializes in premium matcha and heritage green teas from Japan.

Dan saw the opportunity to start importing specialty oolongs, blacks, and other teas from Taiwan, China, and anywhere else that was crafting teas of character. Herald Tea always seeks to always source tea straight from origin and  offer fair pricing by working directly with growers and producers.
