This photobook tells the story of the town of Hanyu, in Saitama Japan, whose main trade is indigo. Through images and vivid poem-like descriptions, the author leads you through the seasons in his hometown.

「 羽 生」は、著者みやこうせいの生まれ故郷・熊谷に近い埼玉県北東部、利根川を挟んで群馬県に接する。この町は、なぜ藍の色と相性がよいのであろう。四季を通して、羽生の原色は藍であり、この町で生まれ人生を全うとした住人も、風に誘われ、地平線の彼方へと旅立って行った人も、またこの町を通り過ぎて行った旅人も、そして遠方からこの町へ入り、足を休めたまま定着した人たちも、町の色、藍に染められていった。
