Behind the Scenes: Panama Hat


Lately we’ve been trying harder to put our work out there, taking more time to share our mission and what we do behind the scenes. Even though our studio space is open to the public most of the time, we thought it would be nice to share the process behind how we make our products.

Two years ago, we introduced our Panama Hat. Originally sourced from Ecuador, we incorporated a hand-braided hat band made from leftover vintage Japanese fabrics from around the studio. It was a great way to use some of our lean and long strips of fabric leftover from previous productions. Here are some photographs showing the overall process of how its made.
