Introducing our first ever denim jacket, the Kiriko Original Type II. This jacket merges our American and Japanese heritage by taking an iconic staple of western workwear and adorning it with historic Japanese patterns screen-printed by hand in Kyoto. The Japanese fabric is then sent to California where the jacket is sewn and constructed entirely in the United States, making the Kiriko Type II a truly authentic combination of our Eastern and Western heritages.
In addition to the front pleats found on all Levi’s Type I and II denim jackets, the Kiriko Type II features a back pleat and slightly longer profile for a vintage look with a modern cut. Made from 12 oz crosshatch Japanese denim with a subtly uneven right hand twill the bleached jacket is washed for that perfect broken-in look and feel. Layer it with a hoodie to add a rugged touch to your winter wardrobe, or toss it over a t-shirt for a classic summer profile.
