Inspired by thestory of Momotaro. The old Japanese folklore of Momotaro or “Son of a Peach” tells the story of a boy born out of a peach, which came as an answer to the pleadings of an old couple unable to have children. As the boy grew, they quickly discovered that he was no ordinary boy, but one with superhuman strength and wisdom. One day Momotaro was overcome with a strong conviction to bring peace to Japan and rid his people of an enemy living on a nearby island who regularly came to plunder and kidnap innocent people.
Along his journey, he was joined by a dog, a monkey, and a pheasant. They crossed the sea to the island of devils and fought valiantly side by side, finally destroying their enemy and bringing peace to the land. He returned home with enough treasure for him and his family to live happily to the end of their days.
